Racing Victoria veterinarians have today inspected 16 out of 18 starters and the three emergencies for this Saturday’s $5 million Sportsbet Caulfield Cup (2400m).
The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Deny Knowledge and the Danny O’Brien-trained Young Werther will both be re-inspected tomorrow due to a change in each horse’s gait which was observed by veterinarians when they were examined this afternoon.
The Andrew Forsman-trained Positivity has been passed suitable by veterinarians, however had been replated so the mare will undergo a re-examination tomorrow as a precaution.
Warp Speed and Sayedaty Sadaty's pre-race inspection will be completed tomorrow.
All other runners have been passed suitable to race.

Racing Victoria (RV) veterinarians today continued their inspections of horses for this Saturday’s $5 million Sportsbet Caulfield Cup (2400m).
The Noboru Takagi-trained Warp Speed (JPN) and Ciaron Maher trained-Sayedaty Sadaty (IRE) were inspected for the first time today and both have been passed suitable to race.
The Danny O’Brien-trained Young Werther was re-inspected today due to a change in the horse’s gait and has been passed suitable to race.
The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Deny Knowledge was re-inspected today due to a change in the horse's gait and will be required to undergo another inspection prior to scratching time tomorrow to determine the horse's suitability to race.
Trainer Andrew Forsman notified RV earlier today of his decision to withdraw Positivity from the race.
All other runners have been passed suitable to race.
