The aim of the Apprentice Jockey Training Program is to develop jockey athletes who can enjoy successful and sustainable careers, and contribute to the success of the Victorian Thoroughbred Racing Industry.
Expressions of interest are now open for the 2025 intake. Applications will close on Friday, 1 March 2024.

Prior to acceptance into the Apprentice Jockey Training Program and commencement of the Certificate IV in Racing (Jockey), Certificate III in Racing (Trackwork Rider) is required.
The Certificate IV in Racing (Jockey) is completed during the apprenticeship*.
The RGR40211 Certificate IV in Racing (Jockey) course comprises the following units of study:
