Stewards Reports Jackie Beriman and Darryl Horner

Racing Victoria Stewards, subsequent to their investigation, have issued a charge against licensed trainer/jockey Jackie Beriman under Australian Rule of Racing 228(b), which states:

AR 228 Conduct detrimental to the interests of racing

A person must not engage in:

(b) misconduct, improper conduct or unseemly behaviour;

The particulars of the charge are summarised as follows:

  1. On 3 December 2020, Ms Beriman was involved in an incident whereby she engaged in a physical altercation with a registered stable employee, striking her multiple times.

The charge will be heard by the Victorian Racing Tribunal on a date to be fixed.

AR 228 Conduct detrimental to the interests of racing

A person must not engage in:

(b) misconduct, improper conduct or unseemly behaviour;

The particulars of the charge are summarised as follows:

  1. On 3 December 2020, Mr Horner approached a licensed trainer, who was attending to a horse at the time, and engaged in a physical altercation whereby he struck the trainer on two occasions.

The charge will be heard by the Victorian Racing Tribunal on a date to be fixed.
