Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the two Friday night meetings scheduled at Cranbourne Turf Club on 3 and 10 March have been transferred to Sportsbet-Pakenham.
The Cranbourne Turf Club recently undertook planned renovation works, but decided a more robust track renovation was appropriate, due in part to the extent of Poa grass in the racing surface, and as a result the decision was taken to transfer the two meetings.
The Cranbourne St Patrick’s Day meeting, programmed on Friday night, 17 March, is expected to proceed as scheduled.
The Pakenham track has been racing very well throughout summer and both RV and the Pakenham Racing Club are confident the track is capable of managing two double headers.
The RV Racing Operations team will monitor weather forecasts for significantly inclement conditions in the lead-up to each meeting.
