Racing Victoria (RV) Chairman, Brian Kruger, has welcomed today’s announcement by the Minister for Racing, Martin Pakula, that senior business leader Tim Eddy has been appointed to the RV Board.
Mr Eddy replaces the late Michael Andrew AO who passed away in June. His appointment is for four years and takes effect from 9 December 2019.
Mr Eddy has 40 years’ experience leading and managing professional services, risk management and governance operations and currently holds executive and non-executive advisory roles with a range of private and government organisations.
He enjoyed a distinguished career with global giant Ernst and Young where he was formerly managing partner of Oceania operations, and the global vice-chair of Ernst and Young’s Global Services organisation.
Mr Kruger said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tim onto the Board and believe that his skills will be of great assistance to Racing Victoria and the broader industry following the sad passing of our colleague Michael Andrew earlier this year.
“Tim is not only an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable business leader; he is a long-time racehorse owner who is passionate about thoroughbred racing and ensuring that our sport remains vibrant and successful.
“We look forward to working closely with Tim and are confident he will make a valuable contribution to the administration of Victorian racing.”
