Entourage turns attention to Equitana

Garryowen-winning duo Briony Randle and her ex-racehorse Entourage will return to the scene of their biggest victory when they tackle Sunday’s Off the Track Showing Showcase at Equitana.

After cementing their status this year as Australia’s premier show horse combination, the pair now turn their attention to this weekend’s Equitana Showcase where they will line up against some of Victoria’s best performed thoroughbred show hacks.

Randle believes Entourage, a six-start maiden that raced under the name Rolling Paradise, is a strong chance of continuing his impressive form this weekend.

“This is our first big show since winning the Garryowen and Equitana is one of my favourite events so I can’t wait,” Randle said.

“He is feeling really good this week, so fingers crossed he’s in a good mood on the day.

“Sunday’s class will also be a great lead up to the Off the Track National Show Horse Championship at Werribee next weekend.”

An exclusive event that will draw together some of the country’s leading thoroughbred show hacks, the Off the Track National Show Horse Championship sponsored by Godolphin provides Entourage with the opportunity to chase his biggest career payday with a $4000 bounty on offer.

Sunday’s Off the Track Showing Showcase, which will offer $1000 worth of prizes to competitors, will be conducted at 12 noon on the Rowville Competition Arena.

Other combinations entered to contest the event include former Bart Cummings-trained Group 1 winner Sirmione for Fiona McIntyre, Jenny Truong’s 2015 Off the Track National Show Horse Championship finalist Academy Of Arts and Marzel Dream Catcher for Racing Victoria Acknowledged Retrainer Nicole Touzel.
