Victorian Owners and Breeders to be celebrated at Caulfield Racecourse

Racing Victoria (RV), the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) and Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria (TBV) will welcome all owners and breeders to Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday, 15 March to celebrate the annual Victorian Owners and Breeders Raceday (VOBRD).

This year marks the first running of VOBRD on its new date, moving from its traditional slot in April to the middle of the Festival of Racing.

The race day will feature thrilling action on the track headlined by:

  • the $1 million VOBIS Platinum Showdown (1200m) for two-year-olds;
  • the $500,000 VOBIS Platinum Guineas (1600m) for three-year-olds; 
  • the $500,000 Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (1800m); plus
  • three VOBIS Gold Premier Races.

Owners with a Runner
Attend and redeem as normal via the MRC link: Owners at MRC.
They will also receive a complimentary beverage, courtesy of RV, with a drink card available for collection from the Race Day Office.

Owners with a Gold Card without a Runner 
Simply attend with their Owners Gold Card and scan into the Racecourse, Members and Connections.

To add to the excitement, Sportsbet Connections will also host a special ‘Happy Hour’ from gates open until the start of Race 3, with $7 Carlton Draught schooners and a selection of $10 wines and sparkling.

Adding to the experience, attendees will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes with an exclusive tour, offering an insider’s view of the mounting yard, stabling area, behind the barriers, and more. There will also be a trackwork breakfast at 7am on Tuesday, 11 March at Caulfield Racecourse, where contenders will have their final gallop before VOBRD. This will be open to all owners who would like to take part.
