New executive to lead promotion of Victorian racing
Racing Victoria (RV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Hoad to the revamped position of Executive General Manager (EGM) – Media, Content and Marketing.
The appointment is a key milestone in changes to the corporate governance structures and leadership of RV’s 100 per cent owned integrated media business Racing.com Media (RDCM), featuring iconic racing brands in Best Bets, Winning Post, Racing Photos and Racing.com, along with RV’s majority-owned radio business RSN Racing & Sport (RSN).
From 1 January 2025, RDCM and RSN came under RV operational management to maximise return on investment, improve strategic alignment, and enhance industry promotion.
The newly created role of EGM – Media, Content and Marketing role supersedes previous RDCM Chief Executive and RV EGM – Customer roles thus streamlining and delivering important efficiencies, while creating a new foundation to focus on broader content distribution and promotion of the sport.
Mr Hoad will oversee the various RDCM and RSN functions, along with RV’s marketing, customer insights, communications, industry promotion, and content.
Bringing a diverse sports media background and creative skillset, he joins from Entain Australia and New Zealand, where he has led content and broadcast strategy since 2021.
In that role, he’s been an industry leader in the creation of unique and captivating racing content, along with the relaunch of New Zealand’s racing channel Trackside and audio network Sport Nation.
Previously, he was Content Director at NEP Australia & New Zealand, overseeing Olympic and Commonwealth Games productions and major sports broadcasts.
Mr Hoad joins the RV Executive Leadership Team and will report to RV Chief Executive Aaron Morrison, a long-term RDCM and RSN Director who will work closely with Mr Hoad on strategy development and the management of commercial and strategic partnerships.
Mr Hoad, whose appointment comes following a recruitment process led by Elevate Recruitment, will commence with RV in mid-March 2025.

Background Notes
- RDCM incorporates Best Bets, Winning Post, Racing Photos and Racing.com and Thoroughbred Racing Productions.
- RSN is 73.25% owned by RV with the remainder owned by Harness Racing Victoria (18.75%) and Greyhound Racing Victoria (8%).
- The integration of RDCM into RV stems from a review of the structure, resources and operations of the RV Group initiated by RV Chief Executive Aaron Morrison upon his permanent appointment in August 2024.
- RSN operations have been integrated under the revised media business structure, with services provided back to RSN under a new management arrangement. As a result of this, the stand-alone RSN Chief Executive role no longer exists with other RSN management positions realigned within the new structure.
- Current RDCM Chief Executive Peter Campbell remains with the RV Group until 30 June 2025 to assist with the transition. He is reporting to Aaron Morrison during this period.
